Martha Rules
My Gift Closet is filling up.
I have been shopping here and there for gifts for
months now. I am definitely one of those people that
will continue to shop until the very end. I don't
understand when I hear people say they are finished
shopping when there are still plenty of shopping
days left. As long as I have time before Christmas I
will probably still find something for someone.
The bakery is really busy now so I will probably run
out of time soon this year which is precisely why I
was determined to get an early start. Griff and I
already got our tree and we even put a wreath on our
car since it seems to be a permanent fixture parked
in front of the bakery these days. The shop looks
adorable with the red picket fence out front
and we have pulled out all of the holiday Cd's.
There is just something so sentimental about
listening to Christmas music when I bake.
Suddenly I am transported back to my early baking
days with my mom and I am reminded how lucky I am
to have a job that I love so much.
The trouble with Christmas shopping is that I always
try to find really wonderful gifts and it is hard
not to buy two of everything. One for them and one for
me. I also have trouble waiting until Christmas to
give the gift.
One of my early gifts that I just had to buy two of
is The Marthas Rules Book. Ten essentials for achieving
success as you start, build. or manage a business.
It is so inspirational for any one who has or ever
thinks about having there own business. I just started
reading it but I can hardly put it down.
Between the apprentice and Martha's new books, I can't
seem to get enough of Martha these days.
I will be sure to report back when I am
finished.
