Weddings & Roses

It is officially wedding Season! I am having a great time.
I am pooped. We are all pooped. A couple of days off
is invigorating to say the least.

It has been crazy busy at the bakery for weeks. We all put in major
overtime and ended it with cool drinks at Northbeach Grill after
making our last delivery at Tybee. Summer is here and it is a HOT
job delivering our delicious buttercream cakes.


It seems I always attract the cakes I love to do. I have been
doing some really fun weddings and lots and lots of roses.
We have done beach parties and tea parties and this weekend
a vintage style wedding. We are doing all sorts of assorted little
baby cakes, petit cakes, tiny cakes and cupcakes with lots of roses
and polka dots as well as my version of the snow balls too.
We are stacking them on assorted vintage cake plates
and if that is not enough Elvis is entering the building to get the
party started. The bride said she loves what I do so she just wants me to
do my thing. How fun is that!

I love this job!

I really enjoy meeting with Brides and hearing how I might make one part
of the dream wedding come to life. Of course it is even more enjoyable
when I share common interests with them. That way I can take something
that I love to do and turn it into something enjoyable that will bring delicious
memories for years to come.

A very bad Elvis sounds like a fun party to me.
I can't wait to see those pictures!
