Joy, Balance & the Pursuit of Happiness
It's Grammy night and we are having a couch picnic at our house.
My sister was the queen of award shows. She would always pull
out all her cute little vintage plates and set the table even if it was just
taco night. She lived every day to the fullest.
The three rings my sister collected left me with a very powerful
message about her passion for living.
I keep them right on my bedside table and strive for living my
life to the fullest too.
The bakery will be 4 years old this summer and I still dream of
new things that I would love to do with our business.
I suppose I am what you would call a workaholic because
even in my idle time, I find myself writing lists of new recipes
that I am developing and ideas that I want to try. I don't
just own a sweet little bakery. It is actually a lifestyle for
Griff and I. Baking brings me Joy.
I think when you finally find the job that you love to do
it no longer seems like work. So now as we try to find
Balance with our growing business it is my hope that we will
continue to be fortunate enough to find others who will share
the passion for what we are all about at our little bakery.
I can't think of any place I would rather be Pursuing Happiness.

This "blog" is wonderful. I am so glad that someone has true joy and passion for their vocation. I wish all of us could find your path and join you. I would love to own a small bakery but the task of starting your own business seems daunting. I hope that you find your balance with much happiness to go along with it!
