Inspirations from a cooking show

I am obsessed with Anne Burrell's
new show on the Food Network
"Secrets of a Restaurant Chef".
I have always admired her
from watching her along side of
Mario Batali on The Iron Chef.
She always wears those great skirts
and you can tell she knows her stuff
in the kitchen. I can relate to her
and I really like her style.

I trust her and she inspires me.
That is why it's especially cool
when I get emails from people
telling me that I inspire them
to bake.

I confess that every week that I watch
her show, I find myself making a trip
to the kitchen store.
I am a firm believer of having the
right tools for the job.

After all, I had to have that
Viking saute pan (Editors note: $$$ ouch)
to make her Bolognese.

This week I ordered fennel pollen.
It's funny because I am not easily
influenced but that is what I call master
marketing in action.

I am hoping that my cooking skills
will improve especially now that
EVERYONE in America knows
that I can't cut an onion.

Of course I CAN cut an onion
ANYONE can do this right? But I am
a baker of sweets so when I cut an onion
its more like hacking it as fast as I can
before I start to cry. By the way, I did
cry when I cut that onion on Paula Deen's
show, but thankfully they decided
to save me from tears.

Don't get me wrong, I love to cook
but over the years my tastes have changed
and I have very high expectations when it
comes to food. My husband is an amazing
cook. SO lets just say I am a Lucky girl.
I always make dessert.

What a sweet post! ...and a good combination of the two of you! I am lucky to spend my Saturdays with you.
