Buttercream & Roses

Griff and I are just back from our annual
vacation at our good friends The Warings
cabin in the North Carolina mountains.
We invited our friends Autumn and Cedric
along for a mountain retreat getaway.
In the past, Griff and I have taken trips where
we spent all of our time running around and
come back exhausted feeling like we needed
another vacation. Not this time.

We needed to unplug and that is exactly
what we did. We relaxed, read great books
that I found from a used bookstore nearby
and worked on the bakery cookbook. I spent
most of my time in a very comfortable
rocking chair breathing fresh mountain air
and enjoyed an amazing view.

It was a very peaceful and reflective place for me.
I could actually hear myself think for a change.
I am inspired for new and wonderful things.

We lived vicariously thru Autumn & Cedric who
enjoyed many outdoor adventures that I am sure Cedric
will be blogging about soon.

Griff and I both enjoy exploring and shopping for
treasures for our home and we did alot of
Antiquing in the area. We found some wonderful
pieces that will bring us many fond memories
of our mountain retreat getaway.
